On Thursday, November 6th 2014, an event of epic proportions landed in New York City’s American Museum of Natural History. Far from your average corporate conference, this event brought over 500 people to the American Museum of Natural History’s Milstein Hall of Ocean Life. With the help of Save the Date®, attendees had a memorable night of dining, drinking, and conversing – all underneath a towering model of a 94-foot blue whale.
The iconic, intricate structure is a staple of the museum, and just one of the many reasons why the venue is so distinguished. Providing guests with an experience unlike any other, events hosted in the Museum of Natural History combine stunning surroundings with dazzling functionality. Save the Date® has partnered with the museum every year to host this corporate conference, which make for a fascinating conversation piece, stunning photo opportunities, and the perfect environment for clients to meet their event-based goals. In a city like New York, there seem to be endless options for where to host such soirees. But as a joint effort of Save the Date® and the American Museum of Natural History, this annual meeting created an experience that would last guests not only until next year’s event, but a lifetime.
For those interested in a bit more background of the American Museum of Natural History’s Hall of Ocean Life, the 21,000 pound, fiberglass whale model is one of the hundreds of sea creature models displayed in the room. Blue whales have been hunted to near extinction, and so the model serves as a reminder of our responsibility to the environment – both on the land and in the waters. Check out some photos below to relive the spirit of this whale-of-a-tail event.
